Do I have to schedule an appointment to view Oakland Farm and Ranch or to get a price quote? We prefer that you schedule a time to meet with us and view our facility to ensure that we can give you our undivided attention. To help us better prepare for our meeting, we encourage you to fill out the Wedding Wish List Form page located on the contact page. When we receive this information we will contact you to arrange an appointment. At any time however, you may contact our office to schedule an appointment.
When will I be able to make a reservation? After you have toured our facility and reviewed our pricing, we schedule a booking appointment as soon as you are ready to book with us.
How much does a ceremony and reception cost? As for pricing, we customize our packages to fit your wants, desires and budget. Because of this we are not able to give exact pricing until we have had a chance to meet with you on an individual basis. Only then can we know what your needs are exactly. Some things that your costs depend on: * The size of your group and whether you choose the large or small hall * Whether you want a reception only or if you have chosen to use the chapel or outdoor ceremony sites
How many does the chapel hold? The Chapel accommodates up to 160 guests in the pews comfortably. Extra chairs can be added to the sides and in the back to accommodate a larger crowd.
May we bring our own decorations? You are welcome to bring your own decorations. There are certain contractual restrictions on the type of decorations and methods of securing decorations. You must also consider any set up time you may need. This time must be pre-approved by the wedding coordinator.
What is the deposit required to hold a date and when is the balance of the event due? A one thousand dollar deposit is required to hold your date. The balance of the event must be paid in full prior to 14 days of the event. We accept cash, personal check, money order, cashiers check and major credit cards.
What is included in our Chapel rental? For the Chapel: •Minister to perform your ceremony •Pew bows and silk flower decorations •Adjustable lighting for that "special" atmosphere •A large silk arrangement at the alter •Lighted columns at the alter with greenery •A Unity Candle stand with candle holders •Two large candelabras •A guest book table
May we have fresh flowers in the Chapel? You may have fresh flower arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres as well as use fresh flower petals for the flower girls to throw.
May we choose our own vendors? You are not required to use the vendors within our package prices. You may choose your own vendors, however all vendors must be approved by Oakland Farm and Ranch.
May we throw rice or birdseed? Oakland Farm and Ranch does not allow rice, birdseed, or confetti. As alternates, consider using bubbles, fresh rose petals, or sparklers.
What if we arrive before our scheduled rental time? The doors will not be open for your event until the agreed upon scheduled time. We ask that you be considerate of your time as we may have other guests scheduled for that day. Please inform the wedding party and any outside vendors (photographer, videographer, etc) that they will be allowed in to set up or prepare, but must make time arraignments with the wedding coordinator.
How much time do we get in the chapel and in the reception hall? For the Chapel you are allotted 30 minutes for the ceremony time. Your reception is to follow immediately and you are allotted four hours unless additional time has been purchased. We ask that you strictly adhere to your contract times.
How many guests can your two reception halls accommodate? Our small hall is designed for more intimate receptions and accommodates approximately up to 150 guests. Our large hall accommodates approximately 150 up to 300 with use of our atrium area.
What if fewer guests come than I paid for? There are no refunds if fewer guests come than the guaranteed number. You will give us a final guest count by two weeks to your event date. However, you will be charged for any additional guests over the final number.
Do we count the wedding party in the final guest count? Yes, you must include the wedding party in your final guest count. Food for photographer or other outside vendors will not be provided unless approved by you and purchased.
Do we count children in the guaranteed number? Children that are 8 years and under do not need to be counted in the per person count but please let us know how many 8 and under children you expect so that we can make note of it for set up.
May we bring outside alcoholic beverages? Oakland Farm and Ranch does not provide any alcoholic beverages in their packages All alcohol must be provided by party (including any and all garnishes, additional cups, etc.) No glass bottles or canned beer allowed on the property. If party is providing alcohol, a security guard is required and to be paid by the wedding party directly to the security guard.
Do we need to have our own cake cutting assistance? There is no cake cutting. Your coordinator will be responsible for cutting both the wedding and the grooms cake.
